The first quarter of 2022 saw a lot of exciting changes in the skit makers industry. The increased recognition and its constant evolution have seen changes to the appreciation of the various craft makers. We also see some people retain their place on the list, as proof that their consistency is appreciated by their followers, and they intend to stamp their place as the best skit makers, through their ability to deliver hilarious, easily relatable content for the different aspects of their audience.

Top 5 Male Skit Makers on Instagram in Q2
Lasisi Elenu
Making a comeback to the list is Lasisi Elenu, aka Nosa Adeyemi Afolabi holds down our 5th spot on our list with 17 million views on his skit videos. He recorded more videos posted in the second quarter, and also recorded an increased number of his followers, from 4 million to 4.2 million followers.
The 3rd quarter has already kicked off on a bright note for him, as he won the category of The Force of Comedy Skits: Influencers and content creators who commanded the highest engagement & vitality power in the comedy niche between March 2021 – March 2022 which he was nominated for.

Brainjotter
In fourth place, Brainjotter has remained a fan favourite, with his hilarious and highly relatable content. If he is talking about money, love or even fighting with a scary ghost, Brainjotter is sure to crack your ribs.
Q1 saw him nominated for the GAGE awards for the online comedian of the year, and his numbers between Q1 and Q2 can easily tell us why. His following has grown by over 300,000 and although the number of skit videos posted remains the same, we noticed an increase in the number of views, by up to 400,000, making it a total of 21.6 million views on his Instagram skit videos.
The CuteAbiola
Also making a re-entry and holding his spot is our famous Naval officer turned comedian, Abdulgafar Ahmad Oluwatoyin, aka the Cute Abiola. 29.8 million views in the second quarter, was one of the best numbers that were recorded, amongst his colleagues. Though it is seen as a drop-off from the 30.2 million views we recorded in Q1, it was still sufficient enough to place him above many others on our list. He also recorded an increase in his number of followers, taking him to 4.9 million followers, the second most followed Skit maker on our list.
Broda Shaggi
After holding down the top spot in the first quarter, our favourite car mechanic comes in at a second place in the second quarter. AMVCA Award winner in the Best Actor in a Comedy category, Samuel A. Perry, aka Broda Shaggi has consistently delivered hilarious and diverse skit videos to satisfy his followers. Little wonder he was able to bag more than 40 million views on his videos. And although it was short by 9% of his views in Q1, he was able to rake in this number with fewer videos posted (70 videos posted), in comparison to his Q1 numbers (73 videos posted).
While being our most followed Skit maker in Q1, Broda Shaggi’s following also recorded an increase by up to 500,000 new followers over the course of the second quarter, bringing his total number of Instagram followers to up to an outrageous 10.7 million followers.
But who is our no.1 most viewed skit maker of the second quarter?

You probably guessed it right. And if you didn’t, you are forgiven!
Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Ejekwu, our very-own Investor Sabinus, aka Mr Funny secures the top spot with a total of 44.5 million Instagram views on his skits. He recorded the highest number of increases in his skit views, with a difference of 12.8 million more views. He also gained more following in the send quarter, with 800,000 new followers gained, despite posting 6 fewer videos than he did in the first quarter (51 videos).
Sabinus is known for his versatility and hilarious punchlines in his skits, and it is no surprise that his work has been gaining more recognition and appreciation, having won various awards in the first quarter, such as the Best Online Social Content Creator at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, as well as the Online Comedian of the Year at the GAGE awards held earlier in the year.
